Abstract: With the development of Internet and the promotion of massive open online courses, online teaching has been widely used.In the environment of online teaching, most students acquire knowledge from the videos in online classes. However, there is an obvious shortcoming existing in most current online learning platforms that students can’t take and share notes or ask for help conveniently while learning from videos. As a result,it may be difficult for students to have a deep understanding of the video lectures. So this paper designed and implemented a cloud-based note plugin for video on Google Chrome and implemented it with HTML5,Node.js,MongoDB and other key technologies.Students can take notes on videos lectures and share them with others. At the same time, the plugin can analyze the lecture content and find the key points in some degree according to students’ using data so that it can support much help in both interactive discussion and knowledge understanding. Finally, this paper gave case studies to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the solution.
