Imporved UCA-ESPRIT Algorithm Based on Uniform Circular Array

Abstract: DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimation has become one of research hotspots and difficulties in array signal processing.This paper discussed an improved algorithm by using theory of special spectrum estimation based on smart antenna.An imporved UCA-ESPRIT algorithm was discussed.Firstly,the array of the input signal can be reordered according to the central symmetry of uniform circular array (UCA).Then the data array is real-value transformed,and the covariance matrix of the transformed array is carried out by eigenvalue decomposition.Finally,to solve the azimuth angle and elevation angle,SVD is carried out.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is not only suitable for the DOA estimation of incoherent signals and coherent signals,but also superior to UCA-RB-MUSIC algorithm and UCA-ESPRIT algorithm.
