Abstract: We introduced the conception and advantages of virtual storage technology, three implementation approaches of virtual storage were detailed which is called host based, storage device-based and network-based. According to the comparison and analysis of virtual storage described above, we gave the conclusion that users with different demands should choose the appropriate approach of virtual storage depending on the application scenario.
