Heuristic QoS Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要: 提出一种基于虚拟队列的区分服务无线传感器网络路由协议VSDR。协议采用聚合权重的方法,节点在进行路由选择时,考虑了队列长度、前进距离和剩余能量等多种因素,从而有助于缓解节点拥塞,均衡网络负载。另一方面,对不同QoS需求的数据包采取不同的权重策略,保障实时数据包的传输延迟需求,同时为非实时数据包提供概率的传输机会保障。仿真结果表明,VSDR可以有效地应对不同的服务要求,均衡了节点能耗,延长了网络生命周期,并能够适应实时性、可靠性要求的变化。

Abstract: This paper proposed a visual-queue-based service differentiation routing protocol(VSDR) for wireless sensor networks.VSDR uses aggregated weight,and takes queue length,geographic progress and residual energy of candidate downstream nodes into consideration when nodes select routing,in order to alleviate congestion in nodes and to balance traffic load in network.More importantly,different weight strategies are assigned for packets with different QoS requirements.In this way,we provided guarantee for delay of real-time packets and probabilistic guarantee for transmission opportunities of non-real-time packets.Our simulation results demonstrate that VSDR may deal with different ser-vices effectively,balance energy consumption of all nodes,prolong network lifetime, and adapt to reliability and delay requirements of applications.
