摘要： 数据库功能和规模的膨胀与数据库性能调优的复杂已渐渐成为应用中一对尖锐的矛盾.自调优数据库是一种新兴的数据库技术,其目标是将日益复杂的数据库调优任务从系统管理人员转移到系统自身,以降低系统管理成本,提高系统性能质量.对数据库调优问题进行了分类,介绍了自调优数据库的研究与发展情况,将其与面向整个计算机系统自我管理的自主计算技术进行了比较,并讨论了自调优数据库未来的研究方向.
