摘要: 云作为自然场景的一种重要组成元素,其形状不规则、物理形成过程复杂,因此很难实现实时绘制,云场景真实感模拟已成为计算机图形学中的热点和难点之一。综述了二十多年来云场景真实感模拟技术的发展情况,分别从云的建模、动态模拟、光照效果模拟等几个方面对该领域的研究进展做了比较深入、全面的分析,介绍了典型方法的基本原理和优缺点。最后对一些具有代表性的模拟方法进行了比较和总结,并对未来发展趋势进行了展望。

Abstract: Cloud is one of the nature elements that is difficult to render in real-time due to its peculiar microstructures and complex physical process of formation. Realistic simulation of cloud is one of the challenging topics in computer graphics. A comprehensive survey on realistic simulation of cloud in recent twenty years was presented, with a detail introduction to the modeling,dynamic simulation and light scattering effect technictues of cloud. Some fundamental principles, advantages and disadvantages of the typical methods were introduced and analyzed. Finally, some typical simulation methods were compared and summarized in detail, some key research issues that need to be further researched were pointed out.
