Abstract: Aiming at the open issues that the classical conflict coefficient in IBS evidence theory cannot correctly recog- nize the evidence conflict and the conflict increases with the number of information sources, adopting the distance among probability assignment functions transformed by pignistic and integrating classical conflict duantification standard, the applicability of Dempster's combination rule was analyzed. The results of the numerical examples and the comparison with the method made by Weiru Liu demonstrate that the proposed method provides a good applicable and reasonable indicator on the applicability of Dempster's combination rule.
