摘要： 随着对海量数据处理的广泛需求，对数据库系统的性能也提出了更高的要求。本文介绍了一种带快照的混合数据库系统的设计。它在传统数据库系统基于磁盘存储的基础上，选择部分需被频繁或快速访问的数据以快照的形式组织在主存中,从而兼顾了处理海量数据和快速响应用户访问要求两方面的需求。最后，简要给出了一个在地理信息系统中的应用实例。
