Study and Design of Interleaver for Repeat Accumulate Codes

Abstract: Repeat accumulate code combines the advantages of both Turbo and LDPC codes,and becomes a hot topic in recent years,because it has the same linear encoding method as Turbo codes and is similar to LDPC codes in the linear decoding algorithm.In order to improve the performance of repeat accumulate codes,this paper optimized the design of interleaver.It designed a parity block interleaver based on several common interleavers and analyzed the performance of the BP decoding algorithm in the AWGN channel.The simulation results show that the performance of the parity block interleaver is better than that of the block interleaver.Compared with block interleaver,the parity block interleaver reduces the correlation between information sequences greatly,avoids the generation of two kinds of four rings in the check matrix,and improves the reliability of information transmission in the channel.
