Abstract: Data aggregation is a very important technictue used to reduce the communication overhead and energy expenditure of sensor nodes during the process of data collection in a wireless sensor networks (WSN). The researches on data aggregation of WSN were presented. hhis paper introduced the function and significance of data aggregation,specified the existing and typical classification of data aggregation, pointed out the challenges and the promising research subjects for this research domain, especially compressive sensing.
