Abstract: The traditional time synchronization in WSN does not fit the special needs of Medium and High Rate WSN(MHWSN) ,in which data fusion and data transmission are in large scale. In the case of fixed topology, there is the problem that the synchronization errors between neighbor nodes are relatively large. At the same time, the data processing of MHWSN takes more time than the WSN,so the global synchronization mechanism is not suitable. An event triggered synchronization mechanism was presented in this paper. A local routing algorithm for synchronization was designed to solve the neighbors' synchronization problem. The simulation results show that the proposed synchronization mechanism reduces the cost of synchronizing in the event area, and the synchronization error between interest nodes is lowered.
