Abstract: The reliability of mobile Ad hoc network is the key factors that affect data acctuisition and device control in the application of IO"I}. In order to solve the problem of uncertainty of the reliability analysis and quantitative assessment, through overall considering these factors of dynamic connection and network components failures, which are brought out by nodes mobility, a method for computing the reliability of Ad hoc network based on nodes mobility was presented. When the speed and direction of two mobile nodes arc stable, the continuous time in which valid link of one node is kept is forecasted. I}hen during some time, the speed and direction of the mobile node alter, and the validity of the link is evaluated. I}herefore,thc reliability of Ad hoc network is indirectly computed. The experiment results show that the reliability of Ad hoc network depends on not only the reliability of nodes and links but also the redundancy of topology and the distribution of nodes.
