Zone-based Controllable Routing Model

Abstract: As the defacto interdomain routing protocol,BGP has high sensitivity and is slow to reach convergence.To improve the controllability of routing,a zone-based controllable routing model(ZCR) was proposed in this paper.In ZCR,ASes needed to be controlled can be organized to a zone where the link vector routing protocol is employed inside the zone and path vector protocol is taken between zones.ZCR can support routing policies,improve the convergence speed and reduce the load of routing.Moreover,ZCR can be deployed incrementally in the network.Experiment results show that ZCR is effective.
