Abstract: Position based dynamic host configuration protocol(p_DHCP) was proposed based on the dynamic host configuration protocol(DHCP). The p-DHCP inherits the protocol for delivering host specific configuration parameters from a DHCP server to a host, and specifics mechanism for allocation of network addresses to hosts. If network nodes in the industry Ethernet control system are maintained following the given rules, p-DHCP can achieve position information automatical binding of network nodes.
