Abstract: The division of the generalized function sentence and the generalized effect sentence is the embodiment of the function-effect chain thought in the sentence category system. The division is the most basic classification to the natural language sentence. If we combine the statistics method and the rule method in the information retrieval and carry on the second filter to the results, the final result will conform to the actual demand for the inquiry user‘s and effectively enhance the correct rate of the information retrieval. The artificial data statistics result proved that the method effectively combines the statistics means with the rule means and improves the correct rate of the information retrieval.
