摘要： 为保证程序的正确性，程序在投入使用前需要检验其是否满足规定的性质，那么程序的性质需要用一种语言来描述。XYZ／AE是时序逻辑系统XYZ的一个子语言，用此语言描述程序性质有很多优点。XYZ／AE不仅能描述所有的程序性质且简单易懂，另外它能与可执行语言XYZ／EE结合，描绘程序中间程度的抽象性，具有很好的扩展性。文章从上述几方面探讨了XYZ／AE描述程序性质的能力。
