Abstract: Next generation Internet is facing challenges such as high-speed switching and QoS provisioning. This paper addressed performance testing and evaluation issues relevant to future high-speed switching devices and subnetworks. A generic test method called Coordinated Multi Point Concurrent Transverse Test Method (CMPG-TTM) introduced by SGNetcom Lab was discussed. A prototype of the Distributed乙Coordinated Multi-Point Concurrent-Test System (DCMC-TS)under development based on CMPC-TTM was used as example for multi-point testing techniques. Preliminary test results with DCMC-TS show that CMPC-TTM is a versatile test method for future network testing and DCMC-TS is superior over existing approaches, with which multiple implementations of TTM (DTC) is hosted in a single machine.
