Abstract: As an emerging network architecturc,Delay/Disruption tolerant networks (DTN) have been widely investigated in the last few years. Since the application scenarios of DTN is extremely different with existing networks,DTN should address several unique security issues, including resource exhaustion, data security, fragment authentication, privacy preservation, etc. We focused on these unique security issues in DTN, and provided a brief introduction for these issues. Further, we reviewed and performed detailed classification and analysis for existing research efforts and approaches in these issues. Finally, we also identified open research issues, and intend to motivate new research efforts.

Key words: Delay/disruption tolerant network, Security mechanisms, Fragment authentication, Privacy preservation
