Abstract: In recent years, the security issues of Peer-to-Peer networking applications(P2P) are becoming the hot spots of network security research. The pollution and poisoning problems of shared content in P2P network present a new challenge for P2P networking security; such as how to find and locate the polluted data, how to modeling the pollution and poisoning process, and how to prevent the spreads of polluted contents efficiently etc. In this paper, the up-to-date researching results were discussed in detail from the three main angles as the polluted data measurements, the modeling processes, and the pollution constrain strategics; some key issues related to P2P network pollutions were analyzed. Finally, the paper pointed out the future possible researching trends on P2P network pollutions.

Key words: P2P network, Pollution and poisoning, Network measurements, Network security
