Abstract: SOA-based distributed and embedded safety乙mission system(DESMCS) executes in open environments which have different dependability requirements. hhis paper presented a novel mix-criticality driven QoS adaptive dynamic resource management architecture, which provides middleware services for QoS- and criticality-based resource allocation and adaptation across heterogeneous computing nodes and cotntnunication networks. The architecture presented in this paper overcomes the disadvantages of traditional feedback-based static resource management technictues and pro- vides layered mix-criticality based resources allocation services. Finally, experiments demonstrate that it enables the DESMCS to dynamically react to changing resource demands or resource availability and better resource utilization, improved dependability.
