Abstract: Localization is one of the key technologies in wireless sensor networks(WSNs). Considering the characteristics of WSNs, this work began with a thorough investigation of the existing MDS_MAP localization algorithm. On this basis,we proposed a self-adjusting distances localization algorithm(S人MDS). The basic idea behind S人MDS is to estimate the distance between the two-hop nodes with three approaches, followed by self-adjustment of the estimated dislances between nodes, in order to improve positioning accuracy. Our simulation results show that the SA-MDS algorithm improves the accuracy of node localization significantly.
