Abstract: Self-service terminals in China arc being developed rapidly, but many users still cannot enjoy its facility. The main reason is the deficiency of effective interaction design methods in the interface design process. What kind of interaction design methods can be applied to satisfy public users rectuirement in the maximum extent has been the main research question for self-service terminals' designers and researchers. Recent self-service terminal research in interface interaction design area is mainly focused on building user perception model, proposing correspondent interface design methods and self-service terminals' interface evaluation methods, which arc summarized in this paper to assist the interface interaction design and research of self-service terminals. I}hc research tendency of self-service terminal interface interaction design was discussed.
