Abstract: To solve the problem of energy-constrained in wireless medical body area network(WMBAN) , a novel MAC protocol-Fuzzy Logical MAC (FL-MAC)，which uses fuzzy logical control theory to reduce the frequency of the node's radio,was proposed. Fuzzy logical algorithm was used to filter the normal messages that need to be sent and reduce the data traffic in the network. Meanwhile, the addition of guard time slot (UTS) ensured the unexpected events could be handled in time. Simulation results show that this protocol provides better performance than other fuzzy logical protocol such as Asynchronous Energy-efficient MAC (ASCEMAC) and Distributed Queuing Body Area Network MAC (DQBAN-MAC) both in node's lifetime and the latency of whole network.
