Research on Fuzzy Logic in Database Information Retrieval

Abstract: Application of fuzzy logic in traditional information retrieval has been widely studied in recent years,and more and more attention has been paid to the intersect field of fuzzy logic and database information retrieval.Making use of the membership function to express the uncertainty and imprecision of the semantics in databases,establishing the corresponding fuzzy indexes,employing the fuzzy inference mechanism and object-level information retrieval method can improve the effect of database information retrieval to a great extent.Firstly,fuzzy logic in traditional information retrieval was introduced and their advantages and disadvantages were analysed briefly.Secondly,fuzzy logic in database information retrieval was presented in detail.Finally,fuzzy logic based object-level information retrieval over relational databases was further discussed.
