Color Image Retrieval Method Based on Cloud Model and Tolerance Granule

Abstract: It is very important to extract the grid points for the construction of tolerance granular space models.In the existing tolerance granular space models,establishing grid points for each layer only takes into account the space position,ignoring the uncertainties of image texture feature,such as randomness,fuzziness and relevance.To deal with that,a color image retrieval method based on cloud model and tolerance granule was proposed in this paper.Firstly,an object set of tolerance granular space model was constructed in CIELab color space.Secondly,the cloud model was applied into extracting grid points of each layer,and then the tolerance granular space model based on the extracted grid points was presented.Thirdly,a similarity measure for the color image retrieval based on cloud model and tolerance granule was established.Finally,simulation experiments were done with images of the testing image base,which are chosen from the Corel image base.Then the results show that the proposed method can improve efficiency of image retrieval effectively.
