Abstract: Wireless sensor networks are an efficient method to sense and study the physical environment, and how to seamlessly converge wireless sensor networks with Internet is one hot research topic.A complete IPv6-based Internet of Things architecture was proposed, which enables end-to-end IPv6connectivity between the Bluetooth low energy networks and the Internet. One lightweight IPv6protocol stack was implemented on the constrained Bluetooth low energy nodes.According to the characteristics of Bluetooth low energy, the lightweight IPv6protocol stack provides 6LoWPAN-optimized functions such as IPv6header compression, packet Segmentation and Reassembly. The CoAP protocol was also implemented in the application layer. The actual measurement results show that the system has a low time delay and the Bluetooth low energy node has very low power consumption which can satisfy the requirements for long-time operation.
