Browse-shopping-behavior-pattern-oriented Indoor LBS Mobile Application for Book Shopping

Abstract: To enhance shopping experience,a lot of shopping assistant mobile applications are emerging.They can provide supplementary information of a specific commodity,which is helpful for shoppers with clear shopping goals.However,under the browse shopping pattern,where shoppers treat shopping as a kind of relaxation,shoppers don’t have clear shopping goals.Existing applications help little under this shopping pattern.This paper implemented an indoor LBS application orienting browse shopping pattern for book shopping.Its back-end collects all kinds of information of books from both the bookstore information management system and the Internet.Then keyphrase extraction method is used to build a keyphrase database according to the position.The front-end applies indoor positioning technology to display the overview information,which helps shoppers quickly understand the commodities.The evaluation indicates that the application can enhance shoppers’ shopping experience.
